So, NBA free agency has been crazy these last couple weeks.
From trades to signings, now free agency is all about players going to new places, right? Well, this free agency was much more than that. Some of the biggest names moved to new teams. For example, Kawhi Leonard to the Clippers, AD (Anthony Davis) to the Lakers, PG13 (Paul Geroge) to the Clippers. Also, Kyrie Irving and KD (Kevin Durant) went to Brooklyn, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart went to the Pelicans, along with Zion Williamson and SideShowJax (Jaxson Hayes), and also Jimmy Butler went to Miami.
There were also some crazy trades. Russell Westbrook was traded to the Rockets for Chris Paul and a bunch of picks. Paul Geroge was traded from the Thunder to the Clippers for picks and young players; this left Thunder fans wanting to start burning jerseys. Raptors fans saying what’s next aftr Kawhi left. Pelicans fans staring into the sky like Luke Skywalker, hopeful for the future, because of all of the picks and young talent they have in Hayes, Ball, Ingram, Hart, and Williamson, led by veteran Jrue Holiday. Lakers fans were also very happy because they might have gotten a dynasty back. One team that is definitely not happy are the Knicks; they were planning on getting Zion, Kyrie, and Durant, but instead got Julius Randle, Allonzo Trier, and RJ Barrett.
This round of free agency was not only crazy, but also game-changing.
